Corey Sansolo

Corey Sansolo is excited to join Texas State University as a lecturer in the School of Music. He has previously held faculty appointments at Valparaiso University, Millikin University, and McHenry County College. Additionally, he has made guest teaching appearances at Northwestern University, the University of Chicago, the University of British Columbia, Indiana University, the University of Iowa, and the University of Arkansas. Corey has degrees from the Eastman School of Music and the University of Maryland and is the founder and director of the DC Trombone Workshop, a leading summer destination for aspiring trombonists. He has performed in a variety of styles in venues ranging from Carnegie Hall, to Woodstock, to Lollapalooza. Corey has performed with orchestras throughout the Midwest and Mid-Atlantic and has toured throughout the United States and abroad as trombonist with the Axiom Brass quintet and the Peacherine Ragtime Society Orchestra.
