Texas State String Project

Student teacher conducting string students

A member site of the National String Project Consortium since 2010, the Texas State String Project is one of thirty-five programs across the country that provide hands-on teaching experiences for undergraduate and graduate string music education students. In our program, students take part in every stage of teaching and learning, from peer observation and assisting with classes to lesson planning and leading classes themselves. This real-world teaching experience enhances the student's preparation to enter the classroom after graduation and is also an asset when applying and interviewing for a job.
