Performances will be 7:30 p.m. Oct. 24-25 at the University Performing Arts Center on campus, with a 2:30 p.m. matinee Oct. 26. Texas State psychology professor Theron Stimmel will give a pre-show talk beginning at 6:45 p.m. prior to the Oct. 24-25 performances.

The Turn of the Screw follows a young governess who takes up a position caring for two young children in the 1890’s English countryside. She soon discovers a dark, ugly secret about the house, and that a vengeful spirit continues to haunt it--as well as those within.

Sung in English with a full orchestra of Texas State faculty and fellow professionals, the Texas State production of The Turn of the Screw offers the perfect dose of chills for the Halloween season.
