AUDITION REQUIREMENTS
The 14th Texas State International Piano Festival is happy to announce our Second Patrick Price Piano Competition. The competition will be held in conjunction with the 14th Texas State International Piano Festival, held from June 1 – June 9, 2024 at Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas. All competitors must be participants of the 14th TSIPF. This competition is open to anyone eligible for the festival.
All application requirements will be due on February 15, 2024. No late or incomplete applications will be considered. Application fee will be $75 (non-refundable).
Six finalists and three alternates will be selected by the pre-screening jury to compete at the 14th TSIPF. Finalists will compete in a live solo round.
2nd Patrick W. Price Piano Competition Repertoire
Prescreening Round
Applicants are required to submit 30-40 minutes of solo repertoire of their choice. Applicants are highly encouraged to submit music in various styles that reflect their musicianship in the best way. Movements of sonatas are allowed.
Final Round
- Finalists will select a solo program of free repertoire between 25-30 minutes.
- Repertoire from the pre-screening program may be repeated in the final round.
