Auditions

The Texas State Symphony Orchestra is open by audition to music majors as well as students majoring in other fields. Auditions are held twice annually, at the commencement of the Fall and Spring semesters and generally comprise a representative piece on your instrument, orchestral excerpts and sight reading. Technical exercises demonstrating instrument-specific proficiencies may also be asked.
